Andrew Synowiez, Creative Director

Forever priding himself on taking the road less traveled, Andrew long envisioned turning his hobbies (computers and photography), into his profession. After receiving his Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science from UNC, Andrew took his years of computer tinkering - alongside Monte - and turned his talents into Hueism.

Andrew spent 3+ years as a student employee / usability associate working with UNC's Center for Instructional Technology to create web applications that can be accessed by the widest user base. During this time, he worked closely with both the hearing and sight impaired to ensure accessibility for all visitors, on all platforms.

He's also spent time at National Public Radio's headquarters in Washington, D.C., where he designed robust web applications to help drive NPR's website, npr.org.

When not behind the computer, Andrew is typically found with a camera in hand. For the last 6 years, he's managed his personal website, synster.com, in order to showcase his latest photographic concoctions. Other interests of his include dancing, music, and being heliotropic.

Monte Evans, Technical Director

An "out-of-the-box" thinker and information visionary, Monte is an information technology developer. Monte has extensive experience in the development of small to medium-sized Internet-enabled applications.

His previous works impact as few as a dozen users to projects that have more than a million visitors a month; but each project must pass the grandmother-usability test to ensure the highest degree of consistency and ease-of-use. Monte has worked for the last 10 years on several national projects for the Shodor Foundation, a national resource for computational science education.

He's a firm believer in the philosophy that efficiency is best lead through pre-planning and simplicity. Monte holds a bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Information Science. When not working he is an advocate for hiking, swimming, and running on trails.
